WSIU Public Television’s newest magazine-style series turns the spotlight on our region and its people, featuring a combination of field-produced and studio segments on the arts and education, family and community, regional history and cultural identity, and news and public affairs.

Program segments feature topics such as the new Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan for seniors, the excavation of the 19th century military site Cantonment Wilkinsonville in rural Pulaski County, visits to historic Goddard Chapel in Marion and the Cedarhurst Craft Fair in Mt. Vernon, a journey down the Illinois river with reporter Gary Marx and SIUC Cinema & Photography professor Dan Overturf, tips from area experts on how to grow a better garden, a visit with several local residents who band hummingbirds for scientific research, interviews with lawmakers and distinguished visitors to the SIUC campus, and much more.

WSIU welcomes your ideas for new segments of the InFocus series. Call (618) 453-6156 to offer your suggestions!
